Helena Bitsilly

 

TOHATCHI — Funeral services for Helena Joyce Bitsilly, 72, will be announced at a later date.

Bitsilly died July 31, 2011, in Albuquerque. She was born Sept. 17, 1938, in Rehoboth.

Compassion Mortuary of Grants is in charge of arrangements.

Raymundo ‘Ray’ Espinoza

GALLUP — Memorial services for Raymundo Espinoza, 66, will be Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Gallup Lions Clubhouse on Aztec and Tocito in Indian Hills.

Espinoza died July 21, 2011, in Albuquerque. He was born Dec. 15, 1944, in San Angelo, Texas.
Espinoza graduated from Casa Grande Union High School in 1963 and majored in wastewater treatment at Santa Ana College in California. He worked in Irvine and Angels Camp, Calif., Winslow, Ariz., and Gallup as a wastewater superintendent. Espinoza was a member of the Democratic Party and was a past president of the Gallup Lions Club. He loved to sell things on eBay, tend his garden and play with his dog, Buddy.

Survivors include his wife Carolyn Espinoza, of Gallup; son Ray Espinoza, of Glendale, Ariz.; brothers Rudy Espinoza, of Phoenix, and Ruben Espinoza, of Kingman, Ariz.; sister Elma Espinoza, of Phoenix; and two grandchildren.
Espinoza was preceded in death by his mother Maria Sulema Espinoza.

Donations may be made to the Gallup Humane Society.

Tom Joe Frank

RED ROCK — Funeral services for Tom Joe Frank, 76, will be Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the Red Rock Church of God. The Rev. Jerry Goodin will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot in Red Rock.

Frank died July 29, 2011, in Gallup. He was born May 14, 1935, into the Red Rock into the Red Running into the Water People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.

Frank worked with the Santa Fe railroad, did construction and was a mechanic. He enjoyed caring for his livestock, herding sheep, spending time with his family and telling his friends stories.
Survivors include his wife Nellie Y. Frank, of Red Rock; sons Cecil and Freddie Frank, of Red Rock; daughters Theresa Maria, of Ramah; brothers Charles Frank Sr., of Red Rock; sisters Marry Benally, Alice Benally and Helen Washington, all of Red Rock; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Navajo and Bah Frank; brothers Kee Yazzie, Ike Kee and Jimmy Hosteen, and sisters Ronnie Morgan and Helen Chee Yazzie.

Pallbearers will be Scott Skeets, Daniel Yazzie, Ernest Smith, Carlos Duran, Bennie Willie, Henry Y.Begay.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Nellie Frank’s residence after services.
